Introduction
Languedoc - Roussillon stretches from the foothills of the Pyrenees
on the Spanish border to the mouth of the Rhone and Provence. The spectacular coast
line runs for 150 miles along the Mediterranean Sea and boasts some of the finest
beaches in France.
The Region has excellent road, rail and air links, making it easy to get to and
to enjoy exploring.
Languedoc is also the biggest wine producing area in France and
provides the first cherries and peaches of the season, due to the fantastic climate
which averages more than 300 days of sunshine every year.
